GST and TDS in society accounting, without Excel
Society billing is not “send a reminder on WhatsApp.” It is recurring invoices, tax lines, receipts, and a ledger the treasurer can defend.

Housing societies in India bill by unit, often monthly. Many must put GST on invoices. Some payments need TDS. Treasurers still do this in spreadsheets, then chase dues in the society WhatsApp group. That is billing, but it is not accounting.
What RWA finance software should produce
- Recurring maintenance invoices, not a one-off PDF
- GST, TDS, and TCS lines that belong on the invoice
- Payment history and receipts residents can download
- Vendor bills, purchase orders, and credit notes
- Reports the committee can export
Society accounting includes that suite, and maintenance billing runs the monthly invoice loop. Residents pay from the same app they use for visitor passes, including Razorpay and UPI. Reminders go out before the due date instead of as a late-night group message.
Why this belongs in the same product as the gate
A resident who already opens GateFlow for a guest pass is the same person who needs to pay maintenance. Splitting billing into another login guarantees the “finance app” becomes the treasurer’s laptop. One role-based app keeps the ledger, the notice board, and the gate log on the same society record.
Every society on GateFlow gets the complete finance module. It is not a higher-priced tier. See society accounting, maintenance billing, pricing, and the billing use case.
